To realize its
goals Arupa Mission Research Foundation has adopted an innovative
strategy. This strategy for the year 2004-2005 touches seven
key areas. All these key areas include bringing change in
the lives of vulnerable people (women, children, disabled,
aged, diseased and the scheduled tribe and caste inmates/prisoners
and poor livestock keepers) through:
- Food Security and Alternative Livelihood:
To help the poor to help themselves by utilizing available
resources and skills and enabling them to own the process
of development.
- Health and Advocacy: Advocating for
rights of disabled population, other vulnerable groups and
Campaigning for AIDS awareness
- Disaster Management: Explore new issues
and needs for disaster preparedness and mitigation and continue
the previous efforts put in for post disaster reconstruction
and rehabilitation.
- Environment, Alternative Energy Resources and
Bio-conservation: Advocating and implementing renewable
energy resources as a an effective and non conventional
means towards bio conservation
- Information Communication Technology as a means
of Sustainable Development: Bringing relevant knowledge
to people through Information Communication Technology as
a step towards food security.
- Acknowledging Contributions of people:
Acknowledging people who have contributed in bringing Orissa
to the path of development and have brought glory to the
state with their work in specific fields through the Utkal
Surjya Samman and Arupananda Award of Excellence.
- Creating Documentary films and Campaigning:
In an attempt to reach out to a larger and wider population
regarding socio-economic and developmental issues as well
as issues of concern regarding environment and bio conservation,
AMRF creates need based and development issue based documentary
films. The concerned department here is called Arupa Vision.
